  2. Your topic was really original and I liked that you talked about many different people, like family, friends, teachers, security guards, and that they are all just normal people, doing extraordinary things. You were very comfortable talking, and it was very easy to understand.

  5. Grace, I don't care what you say. I still love Charlie Sheen!! Nice inflection. It really worked. The unsung heroes desperately needed to be seen. As DFTBA says, "Let's make the world suck less!" Thank you for putting all that information out there for us to hear. One thing I would have improved on would be to have notecards instead of a huge piece of paper. This also helps with eye contact.

  6. I liked the humor that you brought in with your examples of people. I also liked how you put in the family aspect and the misconception of heroes too. Great inflection in voice and speaking skills. I also liked your suicide stats. Great Job!!!

  7. Everyday heroes are a great part of society that has been lost due to peer pressure and fitting in with society. These heroes can mean the difference between life and death in some situations, and so every person needs to live up to their potential to be a hero. Great topic and great way to bring out a very serious topic.

  8. Your TED Talk really gave me inspiration to go out and change the world, and that it is possible to do so without super powers. The examples that you put in like the security guard gave me a better sense of perspective also. You also gave some great examples of how to be a hero, such as helping at a shelter, making a dinner, or even talking to someone about their problems.

  9. Real life hero, suckaaa! Being a real life hero is now my goal, not everything you do has to be monumental to change the world. You weren't completely prepared considering it wasn't memorized, but, hey, you sounded really great! You made points that were completely relatable to my life and you spoke volumes!

  13. Great beginning question. I love the notion that heroes are among us. Heroes can do small and big things. I enjoyed the topic, but found the suicide, etc. issues a little random at first.Great last picture and statement!

  15. Your presentation matches with your speech wonderfully and you use it to support it greatly. I like how you ask us questions to make a point and how you use a little bit a humor within the speech without getting out of control. Relating superheroes to regular people heroes is an interesting take on the situation because of the differences you bring up between them. It's awesome and inspiring!

  16. What mattered in Grace's speech was being a hero in life not in media. She outlined her speech in an effective pattern and she deliverd it with a strong voice. She defineately integrated some humor but at some points the humor did not feal natural. All in all a great speech, my one beef is that she did reference her notes from time to time, but her referencing felt natural just like a normal speech.

  21. Grace, you have a good message to present. People can be heroes to just normal people by being normal people. We can all help someone in some way and be a hero. I think that this idea is a very good idea that people don't make themselves heroes, but they need to. We all can help other people by listening. I really enjoyed listening to your speech.
