    I loved how you began your talk with a poem. it instantly grabbed my attention. Your humor and passion also grabbed my attention. You have a very good speed and your topic was easily absorbed. Amazing Job!!!!

  2. Matthew, quoting the scotland anthem was awesome. Your talk reminded me of my own ted talk of connecting through poems. Last time I heard the star spangled banner, I too felt a surge of pride. Great talk!

  3. Mathew, it was interesting having the opening being the Scotland anthem. Your connection to the overall theme of pride was very well laid out. You also connected to many nations not just America, you connected with many different time periods too. You also remained calm and collected. Excellent job Mathew.

  5. Matthew- I really liked your TED talk. The way that you led in was amazing and it was a great hook to get everyone engaged. I liked what your topic was and it was really amazing and connective. If that makes sense. One thing that you could have done is moved around a little more, but you still did fine without. Great job.

  6. You are a great speaker. I really liked your talk because it made me think about how music unifies us. Your talk was well practiced and your points were very interesting. I liked the saying, "An friend of a friend is a friend." It made me think about how everyone is connected. Great job!

    I think that you proved your points really well. But I do think that if you would have moved around a bit more you would have been able to connect with your audience better. I think your topic was important and proved a good point about music in todays world.

    You didn't really move around the "stage." Try to use all the room you have. I really liked your topic and it interested me. However music seemed to be a repeated theme. I liked your slide show it really helped your point. Good job!

  11. Matt, you were a bit quiet, but I still was able to understand your point. I loved how you said that music unifies the world by relating to us that every country in the world has a national anthem. I thought it was very inspirational that regardless of political standards, we can all stand together if we have one thing that we may agree on, which in this case is music. Great job, Matt!

  12. Matthew C: You talked quietly but I think that added to your presentation because it made people listen MORE. I think your point was awesome, I NEVEr would havev thought of something like this! I love how you use music but more specifially the anthem of countries. And I love how you altered quotes to make them fit your talk!

  26. I thought it was really good. It was also good how you had words on your slides, but you didn't have to look at them to recite them. I also enjoyed the topic, and all the sources you brought in.
