What mattered in Mackenzie's speech was hard work and faith. She started with a story of how she started to run a 6 mile loop with her pushy friend and how she completed the run faster than she ever though she could. Her speeking was very methodical and affective and I enjoyed her story. I think that her speech was inspiring and made me want to get up and do something.
Mackenzie- You were so calm, and that made such a big difference. You had a very interesting talk that was very inspiring. In high school it is hard to keep going and work hard to get good grades. It is so easy to lose sight of what is at the end. You delivered the talk so well, and did such a great job.
Mackenzie Wow, that was really powerful. I can totally see where your coming from with the cross country and runnning. I give you props for the lax game. I really enjoyed your presentation.
You seemed to be very happy, like giving these speech made you joyful. It was nice that you related your speech to your life and told us how it effected you.
Mackenzie- I really like how you had a personal example in your talk! I really liked all of your examples, and i really like your topic! It made me think about what you were saying. You delivered your talk really well nice job!
Great speech! You knew what you were talking about, and I have seen how hard work and success both work together. You had a nice pace, and I liked how your slides related to what you were saying in this speech.
Mackenzie- You seemed very passionate about what you were talking about. I loved your story and you had really great examples for each of your points. Great job!
Hard work is a good idea on its own, same with faith. But when you combine them, you have a moving and inspiring TED talk. The examples through your sports really makes a good point.
Mackenzie's presentation was great! Her backdrop was subtle but went along with the talk perfectly. She slowed down and smiled, which was very motivation for her speech!
Never lose faith! Your topic is truly empowering! You were well spoken and you supported your points in a way that was relatable to everyday life. You were well prepared, but at times you talked a bit slow. It was really good!
Your backgrounds are really creative and cool looking! Your stories relate to your topic PERFECTLY and so did the Vince Lombardi quote. Towards the end you started to sound much more comfortable and your pace was better than it was when you were practicing with me so great job!! I loved it:)
Mackenzie- Your voice was very clear, your expression was one of hope, and there were no distracting movements of words. However, you stayed in the same spot for the whole presentation. Overall, though, great job!
Hard work plus faith equals success. This is a great focal point for people to base their life off of. Hard work is when a person never stops trying even in the face of seemingly failure. Faith is knowing that you can accomplish a task no matter how long it takes. These two create a success that lasts for a long time and maybe in a whole new creative way.
The example of the running was very easy to relate to and was easy to connect to. The lacrosse example also gave me a good sense of how faith can really give plenty of benefit to the activities I do. I kind of felt driven to believe in myself more in everything I do because of your examples and also felt like I should make others believe in themselves.
Your slides were very good and I liked watching them. You proved your point very well that hard work and endurance pay off. Faith is very important. I liked how you used personal examples.
I love your belief statement! I like how you simply said what you believe first off and had a picture behind the screen that reinforced it. By relating your beliefs to yourself and to famous people with quotes you delevered your point. Also, your tone of voice made your point clear and have time to sink in.
You really showed why hardwork is so important. I can really relate to when you lose, but lose working hard. I really liked the quote by Vince Lombardi.
You had your speech memorized impeccably, and your timing and tone were spot on. I also liked how you created a formula for success, because it isn't just something that happens!
Mackenzie, I like your positive message to the procrastinator in all of. We all have those days that make us dread life, but with faith and hard work, we can beat that other self. I really liked your message to everyone and your execution of the speech.
Mackenzie I like how you connected your TED Talk with a personal story and gave examples with how your concept applies in everyday tasks. Good job!

ReplyDeleteMackenzie, you put some great pauses into your talk. You may have wanted to speak a little louder though. The bits of humor were good touches.
