  2. Your talk was super interesting-- it gave me tons of new information! You applied the idea of something I love listening to every day to something I find boring, so that's hugely helpful to a freshman in high school trying to learn the ropes. Props for having it memorized as well!

  4. Hannah-
I agree with your stand on music. I think that playing/listening to music connects one's brain to the entire scheme of things in life. You had a good speaking voice with clear, concise points, and I thought that you really got the audience's attention; good job!

  5. Her speech started out with a wild flurry of facts and I think this kind of took away from the importance of her talk. This topic is defineatly important and she conveyed her message with beautiful pictures, I just wished she had stressed things more and paused more. Her speech stopped and started and I felt that that could also be better, but hey that is also how I speak and I can understand how hard it is to speek under pressure witthout rambling.

  8. Music is a very important and integral part of not only education but everyday life. This is an excellent subject to bring up because it is something that is obscured in both education and society. Music is applicable in every facet of life, so it is something that should be used everywhere.

  10. I should listen to more music... I'm not the best at listening. Anyways, you were enthusiastic about your topic and you feel similarly exuberant! You related music to what we have been talking about for the last 5 or 6 weeks. You were speaking very fast, so sometimes it was a little hard to keep up. You did really great! Go music!

  11. Strong voice/presence! Great topic, I can relate, but I would have liked the speech done a bit slower, it was sort of hard to keep up. I did enjoy the quick class poll though! :) I LOVED each of the creative pictures, but would have liked the text a different color to see better.

  12. Hannah, music is the songs of our lives. I too believe that music helps us in many subject areas and emotion. I play music, and I know many other people do too in this class. We do sometimes follow what you say when we play the music. You have a good speaking voice, but you might have gone a little too fast.

  21. I like how you came right out and answered your own questions and asked us a question as well. The quotes that you used worked so perfectly in your presentation. The summaries about everything you talked about were really great. The challenge at the end was amazing.

I really how you tied some of the senses from A Whole New Mind, they are very important especially with the subject of music. You were very prepared and talked about how they realte to you.

  23. Your talk was awesome Hannah! I loved the subject you chose, and it definitely is not emphasized or appreciated as much as it can be, especially in schools. You seemed very comfortable, and passionate about music. I learned a lot too! Good job!

  25. Your TED talk was good at connecting a seemingly abstract topic in music to a lot of things in life. I feel like your call to action was really good with supporting music since the support for music simply is not there at many schools. For example, the band kids are usually looked at as the nerds of the school. It is good that you are trying to change that outlook. I also feel like you relating music to empathy was creative and pretty interesting.
