John,You are moving! AWESOME! You are one of few to do so. Also, great job memorizing your speech. You didn't rush, and you didn't slow down too much. I could tell you had prior experience.I have only one word of advice. Use dynamics. Get loud at parts, then quiet to add contrast. This could add another level to your delivery.Great talk! I forgot you were still a freshman while you gave it.-Matthew Cheney
John- Your introduction was very inviting and hooked me from the beginning. The idea was fantastic and the presentation was flawless. Great job!
John- You sounded so professional about your topic. Your voice and examples added to your professional...ness!! I liked how you came up with different forms of sucess. Great job!!!!Sage =)
John started off with pointedly answering the question, "What matters?" This helped to continue thinking about the topic, "Do what you love, and love what you do" throughout his talk. John went step-by-step as to why we should love what we do rather than do what is expected of us. He was comfortable up on the "stage" and gave a great presentation.
That was great, you really moved a lot which helped you in the long run, you had a great slideshow. Your overall point was very good and the golden handcuffs really emphasized your point even more.
I loved your topic because I completely agree with it. I think your points really went beyond, "Do what you love and love what you do." I think the talk was very good and it also connected to our lives. Great job!
John--Your golden handcuffs metaphor was really neat, it really helped me understand your point. I also loved your message. I really agree that there are more important measures of success than money, but for some reason society seems fixed on the idea that money = success.
John,I think that you were very passionate about your topic. I liked how you often asked your audience questions that made us think. I enjoyed your main idea and I agree that if you do what you love you will be successful. Great job!
John- You very passionate about your topic, and you were confident when you spoke. Your ideas all connected very well! ood job!
John- Your spoke very well. You did a great job of showing different perspectives on success. You sounded very well rehearsed. Great supporting facts and examples!
I noticed that under Success, you had Narcissism :P. Success is a very interesting topic: Everything is success. An A is success. A B is success, even a C can be success. That's a paradox. "The same old nun" :P. I hate to say this, but just to be Devil's Advocate, but Bill Gates basically just redesigned Apple, which took Xerox's idea.
You made a good point about how people don't think of the little things as much of a success as having a nice car and owning a big house. Your talk goes back to the idea of intrinsic motivation and how people are more successful rather than those who are motivated by carrots and sticks. Your presentation was very natural and interesting. Good job!
John: There was a TED talk i watched on success, about having our own definition of success. I think you tie in with him perfectly on your talk. I think you define success in such an awesome way because everyone can relate to it. I love how you tie in happiness with success. It's such a moving topic that I can totally relate to along with I think most everyone else! It was so cool how you ended with what yo ustarted with! Way to Go! :)
John - Your speech was insightful and inspiring. You pinpointed the meaning of success, and impressively presented an interesting topic. Your slideshow was perfect tying perfectly with your speech. Great Job.
John- The examples you used were very interesting. The were family names so they were easy to relate to. You always came back to 'why', this keep the audience thinking and engaged. You found examples from many different places. There was religion, sports, family, business. You sound prepared and confident. Great job!
John-I really liked your talk. I think it affects everyone and opens my eyes. I really liked your topic. You did a good job of moving around the "stage". So good job!
John- I really like the topic that you picked. I think that hapiness is based on you personally, and hapiness=sucess. I also enjoyed how you re iderated do what you love and love what you do.
John's TED Talk was very interesting. He made points about how to be successful in your own way, and he had a very good presentation style. I agree that happiness, meaning, and passion are key to enjoying life.
John- Your presentation resonated with me on a deep level. Your subject was amazing, and your presentation was delivered smoothly and calmly. Amazing job. Very relevant to kids in high school. Your presentation went beyond the assignment for me. I didn't feel like I was in a classroom at all. Excellent.
I liked how you used well known people to carry across your ideas. I was very unsure on what mother Teresa actually did.
I really enjoyed your presentation, you really shed light on finding happiness and enjoying what you do. It really helped people not to conform to having a dead end job. Great job John.
John- Your topic reminded me of "pursuit of happiness" by Kid Cudi, and the part of Walt Disney being fire reminded me of the part that went, "what do you know about dreams, dreams." Great talk, John!
John- Great job on your presentation, you truly showed that loving what you do, affects how you view life. Great job!
