  4. Maddie, I really like the beginning. The execution that followed was really good. Also, you have a good speaking voice. I love your message of how teens are shown as bad people, and that we truly aren't. We have a bed rep, and we can change this. Great speech.

  5. Maddie!
I loved the stories you shared when you started. I totally agree with your topic and it bothers me so much when people treat me as a sterotypical teenager. I think everyone can relate to what you were saying and you did a great job of getting your point across. The stories you shared were very touching and related to your topic so well. Great job and very inspiring!

  8. I can totally relate to your speech..we all can. We are automatically stereotyped but I love how you proved them all wrong. It is so true. We can all change the world and make a difference. All the stories of the teenages really added to the significance of your speech. Thank you Maddie for standing up for us. Everyone should listen to your words.

  9. Teenagers are stereotyped by the worst kind. You make a good point of teenagers can change the world, and do when given the responsibility and chance.

  12. My attention was definitely caught by your opening sequence of media stereotypes that don't define the majority of teenagers in America. People need to realize that most of us are going to be the bright new minds of the future and that we should be treated with respect. Great overall presentation-- I hope that someday people will shed their bias!

  13. Your presentation relates to ALL of us because we have to deal with the mean stereotypes and I agree with you, we shouldn't have this stereotype based on a few bad days or irresponsible people. Nice job on bringing in the positive attributes of teenagers and proving them with true stories. Great job!:)

  14. Maddie, the beginning was very effective and moving. I like how you had the individual pictures then put them all on one slide. It is sad that people think poorly of us. It's really not fair. Thank you for telling us that we need to show people that we are different than what they believe.

  15. YES. FINALLY PEOPLE WILL KNOW THAT TEENS AREN'T NOT THE DEVIL. Teens are trying to figure themselves out still and they are overwhelmed by expectations. We are capable of so much and are able to change the world. You were prepared and well spoken. Your speech means a lot to me and I want to prove to society that I can make a difference. Great job!

  18. Everyone in the room could relate to your topic, so your talk was good. Your use of all the good that teenagers do was good because it really shot down the ideas you showed at the start of your presentation. While you said that some teenagers cause some undeserved stereotypes, you really stood up for the fact that teenagers can be really good people.

  20. Teenagers aren't bad people who are tearing society in two. Many teenagers are responsible and can be trusted with many tasks. The stereotypes of teenagers needs to be changed to a level of respect. EXCELLENT topic for high school.

I think it is very important that we look beyond our stereotypes. You were very confident and looked comfortable in your presentation. I like your section about the kid on the cross country team, it really shows that anyone can do anything.
