  1. I liked how you related the problems that you heard to how education should be responsilbe for fixing them. As the talk went on, around 3 or 4 minutes, you really semed into it and had an excellent flow in your speech.

  2. Anna--The examples of family catastrophes you gave were very sad and immediately captured my attention. I feel like your topic was relatable and moving. The slides you played in the background were terrific at enhacing your point and adding momentary comedic relief.

  3. Anna,

Good job of using a story, and prior experience. It helped you to give better evidence and support that evidence better. Also, you had the slideshow mapped out perfectly. you used it well.

You moved a little, but you only moved about two feet. You had the whole floor to work with and you should have used it. Also, I recommend more practice, so you don't have to have a paper with you. This is a simple thing that can be avoided.

Great job overall! I enjoyed your message and personal connections.

  4. Anna- Your talk has brought some new insight to my opinone on education ( more that Pink has). I think you are right in that morels and standers should be taught at school as well and home. Good Job.

  5. Anna - You had a great argument on the problem of the maturing and changing lives of young children. The heart-wrenching examples you presented greatly enhanced your point, and made your argument even stronger. The format of your speech was great, and your speech flowed through multiple points and stories.

  6. Anna, this is a great topic because it is largely overlooked by kids and adults alike. Your connection to education was interesting too, since it is contrary to what most people think. The unwritten rules was interesting too. Your slides connected with each other and with your spoken words. You also knew where you were going and were able to fluently convey it. Good job Anna.

  8. Anna- you're stories at the beginning brought me in instantly. I think it was a great way to open your talk. The message i got from your talk was in early life, we need to grow up with positive environment even though there will always be some bumps in thr road, some bigger then others. We need to improve life skills from an early age. I completely agree with this as I have a little brother who could benefit from these skilss :) Overall, you're talk was very affective and i was drawn into it the whole time.

  13. Anna's TED Talk was kind of depressing at the beginning. After the sad stories, the speech became more optimistic. I like the idea of making sure a student has a good home life. This aspect of education is very important. This TED Talk was very refreshing and I learned a lot. It was a lasting message

  15. Anna started off with powerful stories about woman who are ready to leave their past and start a new future. She made a comparison of children being like clay, that has to be formed and changed. I like this, because it gave the audience something to think about, and how influential a childhood is to any person. Anna made a good point saying that life skills are important, and that the society has to come together in order for children to strive to be better.

  17. Anna's presentation helped to enlighten me that not everybody has a perfect life that is surrounded by happy parents, and she made me want to do something about it.

  18. I think you had good ideas, especially the idea of school working with parents. I think that that in life, this isn't emphasized enough, and that parents live their own lives and don't get that involved with school.

  19. Anna did a great job. I liked her topic and she did a good job of relating it to the audience. I also really liked the metaphor she used about a child's brain being like a mound of clay. It made a lot of sense and she did a gret job. She made the topic a very powerful one and overall it was good for us all to hear.

  22. Anna- You explained what lessons in life we need to continue to be taught, treat others as you would want to be treated, ect. It showed some of the different paths people can go, through how they grew up, like abusive parents. This cycle definitely needs to stop, and you pointed that out very well!
