  2. Emily- Your picture really stood out, but the blindfolds were really impressive. It gives the audience a direct example of using their vision. Your idea was great, especially since society is obsessed by perfection.

  6. Awesome exercise at the beginning! Now I will never look at a bike or a fence at the same way again. I think you opened up my door to vision, great talk!

  8. I really like the slides, and how you focused on details, and then showed the big picture. I completely agree that we do need to focus on details that we commonly ignore.

  10. Your message was really unique, but I agree with it. It relates a lot to what Dan Pink was saying about meaning. I like how a lot of the pictures were taken in places in the community that we recognize, so we could really relate to your speech.

  13. The experiment at the beginning was very interesting and made you really think the rest of the speech. It set the stage for what you were saying. And using objects most of us have seen helped us think deeper. Using one main theme the whole time was very helpful. The subject was very original and I personally had never thought of. Great job Emily.

  17. Emily,

Your metaphor with the blindfolds helped hit home what you wanted to get across. It also let us make more connections than the ones you gave us.

Like so many before you, you did not move! Use those things under you called legs, and those things hanging at your side called arms. They can really help make a better point.

Great talk, and even better activity for us to do.

  18. Emily started by involving the audience by having us put blindfolds over our heads to test our true vision, to actually SEE. Her talk was great because she challenged us to see the beauty in every day things. She emphasized the important things in her talk by slightly raising her voice or slowing down. She made great eye contact with everyone, and seemed very passionate about her topic of seeing beauty in the world by using our true vision in life.

  23. Emily- The blindfolds were an amazing activity to draw us into the presentation! Comparing the old and dirty pictures of something like a fence, instead of the pretty artwork that could be put of there. I'll definitely be looking into the inner beauty of my everyday life.
