  3. She covered a lot of things that do matter, which works because it was a topic that a lot of people wouldn't even think of. She also used the audience during the presentation.

  4. I liked how Vivian did her talk in reverse. It made me think alot more than somebody telling me, "blah" matters.

  5. Vivian,

I liked that you used humor. It kept us involved and focused. I also liked your unique perspective on what matters, by saying what doesn't matter.

I think the texting thing was a bit distracting. It took a lot of time, and we only saw the results for a few seconds. I think it would have been better to use it more or to not use it at all.

Overall, I liked your new view on things. You also effectively used your slideshow.

  6. I like how you used phones in your presentation. Also, your short joke was a great way to connect it yourself personally. I agree that in some way, something matters to everyone! Great speech!

  9. I really like your first slide. And the content of your presentation. I enjoy how you even say that bad things do matter, because you can learn from them.

  10. I like the approach you took to your speech. It must have been really hard to try to predict and shoot down all arguments for why everything matters.

  11. Vivian used technology as an aspect of her talk, which I liked because it got the audience actively involved. Her topic of "What doesn't matter?" challenged me to think about what truly doesn't matter. She make me really try to think but Vivian was right. What does or doesn't matter depends on prospective. She make the class laugh and proves that there isn't really anything that doesn't matter because something matters to someone, therefore, everything matters.

  16. I like how you asked US what we think. I was trying to think about what doesn't matter, and honestly I couldn't think of one thing. I never would have thought about any of this until you brought it up! Youused jokes and seriousness in your talk which had a great balance. :)

  19. Vivian- You voiced all of our complaints in school, or what we think doesn't matter in general. Yet, you took all of that and turned it around, and we all are wondering why we ever thought it didn't. Good job turning the world around Vivian!
