  1. Great topic to talk about, since everybody listens to music. Awesome how you relate your music career, to the school's, to how budget cuts cause the dwindle of teachers and music help. You really found a new way to show music in a different light, rather then showing how it affects the individual and show how it affects the community.

  4. Dom, music is our lives. We all believe that music is what drives most of us. Sadly, it isn't that highly seen as other subjects. I believe that this speech was very good and well rehearsed. Great job.

  5. Music is very important and bringing in our own band programs and other music programs as examples of positive musical learning situations was relate-able and interesting. The support you use to back up your topic were very good and it was overall very interesting! Good job!:)

  6. I really liked your topic. Music is important. It is unavoidable, and it is so true that we need to appreciate music in schools more. You were very comfortable talking.

  8. Dominic, I am going to try and put as many jazz puns as possible in here. It is not kind of true but it is very true that music is being cut out. Well, that's life. This makes me kind of blue. Your freckle face emitted a good volume and you put very good pauses into your talk. Your eyes were not focused on the salsa on the side of your paper (I don't even know...) but they were on the audience.

  9. I totally appreciate how you felt so strongly about your band and it's credibility. As a choir kid, I know that when people make fun of what you do, it can be really discouraging. I attended two band concerts this year, and I really enjoyed them!! I also loved how you brough in the study of the muscicians in MRI's. Well done, you sounded like a professor!

  10. Music impacts my life greatly and it saddens me that funding is causing a decline in the classroom. Implementing music in the classroom will allow us to connect to others and help increase creativity. You did a great job! Next time, try to focus on moving a little less. You were prepared and supported your points very well.

  12. The cutting of music from schools is a very real problem and it is good that you are saying something about it. You gave examples of how we can keep music in school a few times such as the AIM program which was good. You also gave some really good facts such as the MRI which gave more reason for the audience to act to keep music in schools.

  13. Music needs to be an integral part of education, and it's sad when music programs in schools are cut everyday. I like the part of music speaks because it's so true. Music is an international language that anyone can speak because music isn't good or bad; music is the expression of a person, and when they are inspired, nothing that is done can be called bad. Excellent topic for a talk at a high school.

  14. You made some excellent points. I don't think we give enough credit to our own school music program. I love how you related music to other areas in our lives and tied it into the brain. Music is power!
