START THE PERFORMANCE

Welcome back, students. Today, Smith started class with grammar. The front sentence was “Those are the other childrens toys but yours are in your room.” Smith then got angry at us for and did not want us to be like her first hour. The back sentence is “Karl likes reading whenever a topic is technological.” We then proceeded to learn that reading is a gerund. A gerund is verb that acts like a noun, like reading, running, and dying. It is different from a participle in that the participle acts like an adjective.  We also reviewed a subordinating conjunction that triggers a dependent clause. We then broke into our groups while Smith came around to each group for questions and commentary.  Homework for tonight includes working on your performance( scene cutting, lines, staging, and promptbook) and reading A Whole New Mind till chapter 3 for next week.
