  1. The teach must be strict and fun-loving. Not too strict, but a reasonable amount. The teacher must also be friendly, this makes them easy to talk to.

  2. i think that the teacher has to be fun and strict. You need to have a teacher that can have fun with you but be strict and gets down to business at the same time. the student needs to be prepared for class. A good class is full of good listeners.

  3. I think a good teacher should be caring and knowledgeable. I feel this way because, a teacher is a person that we should be able to look up to and ask for advice. They should also be knowledgeable, so they can teach us. A good class is full of students eager to learn and filled with questions and ideas. Finally, A good student is prepared, responsible for his/her actions, and trys there best each and everyday.

  4. I think a good teacher is always having fun and never overly strict because students will enjoy the class more in a more fun environment. Good students should work hard but still have some fun. A good class should respect the teacher and be good collaberators.

  5. The teachers need to have a good sense of humor but can also crack down when stuff needs to get done. They should be able to get through a lecture without anyone falling asleep. Good students need to be able to work alone and in groups. They need to do the work that is expected. A good class gets to know each other and has good chemistry but knows when to work.

  6. A good teacher must be fun and one that students will remember throughout their schooling. The teachers should crack jokes to keep the students tuned in and interested. Their class should be different in a unique way from other teachers in their department. A good student should be able to work well with other students and get work their assingments done while working alone. They need to have a good work ethic and turn in assignments on time. A good class should have students that want to be in school and contribute to the class. A class that partipates actively in discussions will be a more fun class for everyone.

  7. A good teacher needs to know how to be engaging so the students pay attention instead of drifting off into daydreams. He or she should also be nice and understanding so that they are approachable for students to come too for help. A good student should be hard working and willing to come in on an off period for help. A good classroom is a combination of a good teacher and students in a proffesional learning enviroment.

  8. I think that a quality that good teachers have is teaching things in many different ways. i always found that the more varied in the way that i learned things the better i would remember and understand them. The qualities i think a good student should have it to be able to find a way that you can learn best and then use that way to take things in. I think a good class has to be able to have group descusions because i have always found it benefical to hear other peoples persepectives and take them into consideration

  9. Teachers need to be nice, and actually like kids. If they have that, they're a good teacher. I always get better grades in classes where I have teachers I like.

Students shouldn't fool around. I don't get why they do, but it seems like Freshman actually try to goof around in class. I don't know why.

A good class should be serious, and willing to learn. Not all goofing around.

  10. A good teacher is someone who challenges you and inspires you to do your best, whether it be at schoolwork or life. It is someone whose teachings will stay with you not only until the end of the school year, but forever. A good student is someone who takes what they have learned and thinks about it in a deeper level, so they can use it in everyday situations. Good students also should pay attention and give as much respect to the teacher and everyone else as they want back. A good class pays attention and acts like a family, helping each other problem solve and understand concepts better. All three working together makes an exceptional learning experience.

  11. I think the qualities that an ideal teacher should have is that they are funny, be able to make class enjoyable for everyone, to teach at a pace that everyone can understand and to give you life lessons along with school lessons. Good students should be prepared, on-time, friends with everyone (including the teacher) and on task when they need to be. The indications of a good class, in my view are when the students and teachers communicate about everything and anything, no disruptions and it should run like a well-oiled machine.

    ReplyDelete
  12. A good teacher must be laid back but also challenging. They should be able to relate to students very well and back them feel comfortable and relaxed - but at the same time they should push everyone to be better and challenge themselves. Teachers should also be creative. They need to give information in a way that makes it fun and intriguing. On the other side, students have to be eager for this information. They have to want to learn and become better. They need to take control of their learning and make the best of it rather than just coasting through class. A good student should challenge themselves without a teacher needing to and should always stretch their mind so that they can reach their full potential. A good class simply needs to participate. They need to work hard for each other and encourage each other to be good students. They should participate during class and always ask questions to keep the class interesting. A good class should all be friendly with each other and just always work hard so that everyone can benefit.

  13. I think a good teacher must be fun and make learning a pleasant experience. But, at the same time, they must keep order and the respect of the kids, and teach effectively. The students must respec the teacher and follow his/her instrustions, but still enjoy the class. In other words, have a positive outlook on the class and realize that the teacher is human and makes mistakes.

  14. In my opinion a great teacher is one who can make any student want to come to class. Even, or especially, one who doesn’t typically enjoy the subject. But that also takes effort on the students end and that is what defines a good student to me. One who always makes an effort, even when they don’t enjoy the content. The perfect combination of this, including one of the former and many of the ladder, ends up being the perfect class.
And I suppose unlike some of the previous comments I don’t care about the strictness of teacher. Everything is situational when it comes to discipline.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Every teacher is different; they all have different qualities that make some of them more popular. To me the most important quality a teacher can have it to be involved with the class. A good teacher will show they care and have a personal relationship with every student. They will know all their students names and say hi to them in the hall. A good teacher will know your strengths and weaknesses and push you to help you do the best work you can do. A good student should be able to come to class prepared and sit down and start what they should be doing. A good student should participate in the conversations and be involved in the classes. They should be able to do their best work everyday and push them selves to their full potential. Like teachers they should also be able to know everyone of their class mate’s names and help each other when they need help. A good class should be like a family. It should be fun and be the class everyone talks about and looks forward to everyday. The class should be able to stay focused and get all the work done but it should also be fun and the students should laugh and be able to joke around and have a good time. A good class should be able to work together but most of all just have fun. Every class, every teacher, and every student are different but certain qualities in everything can make your high school experience better.

  16. I think that a good teacher should actually like kids, and have fun. A lot say they do, but the way they act makes it seem like they really don’t. A good teacher should also be there for the students, and should always try to answer questions in class. A good student should be prepared, and should try to contribute to the class. A good class should always be respectful, get engaged, and feel comfortable to ask questions.

    ReplyDelete
  17. A good teacher...must love working with kids and be dedicated to their job of educating and preparing kids for life. They should be willing to put in hard work everyday to create dynamic lesson plans to teach their class. They should add humor to engage the students and make learning more fun!

A good student...should be respectful of the teacher and their other classmates. They should listen, participate in class, be responsible about homework, and seek extra help if they need it.

A good class...must be accepting of all the students in the class by never interrupting or teasing one another. If they respect one another and respect the teacher, they will succeed!

    ReplyDelete
  18. A good teacher should be able to make a class fun for their students and should be able to really love being with the kids they teach. Although the class should be fun, it should also be a working environment where the kids will learn and participate. When a teacher is successful it makes their students successful and creates mutual respect.
A good student works when they are told to work and works their best. They know how to incorporate fun in their schedule but always save enough time to do school work. The student should also not be distracting to other classmates and show respect to others and those in authority.
A good class should have fun together. When there is some awkwardness or distraction, then the classroom cannot flourish. It is when everyone gets along that a class can be at its highest potential.

  19. I think that a good teacher must have one essential quality. They make you WANT to learn. I'll always remember some of my worst experiences in school were with teachers who seemed like they would want nothing more then to leave the class, and spent an hour just shoving papers and busy work down your throat. When a teacher makes you want to learn, you can feel it, and usually end up performing much better and enjoying a class much more. I believe the same goes for students. Each student must make the effort to enjoy class and realize that what they're learning is absolutely vital to their success. A good class will be engaged, focused, and putting they're best effort into what they're learning.

  20. A good teacher has to know the balance of play time, and when to firm and get to work. No group of kids are going to all respond well to a teacher who has an extremely traditional style of teacher. And the same can be said the other way. Good students come when the student has a desire to learn. If you don't care about what your being lectured about, chances are you won't be an active participant. Now when the students and the teacher both see eye-to-eye on methods, topics and procedures, then a sense of community forms. Thats when not only the students are learning a lesson for the day, but a lifetime.

    ReplyDelete
  21. A good teacher would have a good balance of teaching, and then letting the students apply the information, rather than just spewing out the information and having the students take lots of notes. They would challenge their students, but not past the level of pushing them too far or overwhelming them. Everyone learns in a different way, either by hearing, or by seeing, or by hands on. An effective teacher would use all of those in the classroom, to make sure all students are benefiting. A coscious teacher would know their students, and be aware of their strengths and weaknesses, to be able to help them. Being understanding, but not super strict is also another quality.

Good students would be concsious of their surroundings. They would listen when asked, and participate when asked. It would also be critical to explore new ideas and ways of solving problems. A good student would go beyond what is asked of them, and would also help other classmates.

A good class would work together as a team. When people are sharing work or opinions, it would be important for all students to be sconscious, respectful, and considerate of each other. Also, it is important to help everyone else to succeed, not just yourself, by encouraging each other. Putting each other down would only degrade from the classroom environment. A class discussion would involve everyone, not just a few choice people.

  22. A good teacher has many qualities. They must be smart, outgoing, positive, and understanding. They should be able to apply all these qualities on a regular basis to help their students understand the curriculum and how it applies to their every day lives. Also, they should be able to relate to the class and make a real connection instead of just giving lectures and piling on mountains of homework. Qualities like these would make an excellent teacher for any subject.

Attentive, intelectual, proactiv, and mindful. These are a few of many traits of a great student. The people in the classrooms who get an A are not necessarily the best students. The best students are the one who walk away from the class learning the most about themselves, and the subject of focus. These are the students who will go to college most prepared to earn a degree and compete in the job market. Any student who can do this is on the path to success.

  23. A good teacher should be able to have fun with the kids in their class, but also be able to motivate them to do their best and really enjoy learning. A good teacher shouldn't judge his/her students and should at least attempt to understand student's lives, etc. A good student should pay attention, be outgoing enough to adjust to group projects, take initiative, and want to learn. Students should know when its ok to socialize or joke around, but then be able to get back on track in order to learn. A good class should be supportive and understanding of each other. They shouldn't judge their peers, but instead try to get to know them and help each other learn.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Some qualities a good teacher should possess is creativity and control. I think the more creative things a teacher pushes on to his or her students, the more unique responses there will be. It would also push students to think outside the box. The control aspect of a teacher is a necessity. If a teacher cannot control his or her class then the students will not learn discipline or respect while in the classroom.
A good student should possess organization and self discipline to keep themselves on track . Organization can result in turning assignments in on time as well as staying focused. Time management can also be an outcome when well organized.
A good class should collaborate and use team work in order to effectively share ideas.

  25. A quality teacher should be excited to be doing what they're about to teach. They should be knowledgeable and wanting to help as much as possible. The students should be willing to participate in class along with actually "wanting" to be there. Students should follow directions and do as they're told, they should do the right thing without being asked. The class should consist of both quality teachers, and quality students eager to share their knowledge to change the face of the world forever

  26. A good teacher should be fun and different than others. Its okay to be strict sometimes, but they shouldn't go on random power trips and be totally crazy.
A good student would be one who listened to the teacher and their fellow students. They should supply their input when appropriate, but not answer every single question.
A good class works together well and learns off each other. There should be a sense of calm and order in the classroom, but not always. We have to goof around sometime!

    ReplyDelete
  27. I believe that a quality teacher is someone who looks like he or she is having fun while they are teaching. Teachers who help everyone and who address the different learning types have a great quality. Good students are people who put in all their effort and always know that something can get better. They listen to the teachers all the time and are excited to be there. They help anyone who needs it and in turn they learn from that person. A good class watches out for each other and helps in anyway possible. I agree with Frank W that a good class is made of quality teachers and students. A good class is also friendly and will never turn down any help or refuse to help someone else.

  28. I think the teacher should be fun and understanding of their students. I don't think they necessarily have to be strict, but they should be firm with us and make us actually want to learn in class. The qualities of good students include good study habits and participation. Along with that, we should be open to discussion in class instead of being quiet and stoic in the corner. A good student interacts with the teacher, treating them with respect, but also having fun. A good class consists of the group as a whole wanting to learn and being kind to one another. They cooperate with each other, and help those who need it. However, good students aren't the only thing needed to make a quality class. A good teacher is what keeps the class together.

  29. As a little kid in elementary school, my favorite teacher was Ms. Melissa. After I said goodbye and moved through all the other teachers, I wondered, not so much what qualities she possessed that made me like her so much, but more what the other teachers lacked that made them fall short in my eyes. But as I matured I realized that they had always had good qualities but Melissa had more. The qualities she had that made her stand out for me was her genuine interest in what we thought, we had lots of feedback even in first and second grade, which was unique because it made us feel like "adults" which is something that every little kid likes. However, I believe that even at this age, that would still be something I would respect in a teacher, because it shows some level of a democracy rather than a monarchy and makes students feel like we have a say and that our voices are being listened to. Also she made sure we all understood, and I wasn't intimidated by her. Most teachers go on without clarifying that everyone gets the subject matter, and when you ask afterwords, they tell you that you should know it, without explaining. Not only does this leave you in the dust, still not knowing the subject matter, but its very intimidating, and makes you not want to go ask for help from the teacher again.
I came into high school telling myself that while it would be a challenge, as long as I was a "good student" who listened, did their work on time, participated, and made an effort in my school work and in extra curricular activities, I would and very well could make it through. To me those qualities are what makes a good student. Someone who listens, gets their work done on time, participates, and makes an effort. If you don't listen, you won't know what to do and you will fall behind, it's really as simple as that. If you sit in the back of the room, and don't answer questions, raise your hand, talk to your fellow students, or in others words don't participate, your going to miss out on the full experience every student deserves. BUT to get this full experience, you have to make an effort, this is high school, things aren't handed to you on a silver platter, and you shouldn't expect it! You have to work hard and it's not going to be easy, but in the end your not going to remember all the nights with the homework, you're going to remember all the fun times, and to achieve those fun times, you need to make an effort!
To me a good class consists of people who know and respect each other. You will never know how people are feeling, what their going through, and the toll its taking on them, so you can't judge. You need to respect one another and treat each other equally. Listen to what your fellow students have to say, because chances are through the year, each and every student in your class will say something powerful that has an impact on you and will stick with you for a while.

  30. A great teacher is someone who actually enjoys what they are doing and can relate to what their kids are going through. They want to have regular conversations with their scholars and get to know them in order to keep a comfortable environment. They also incorporate all parts of life into their class time (if there is enough time) such as other subjects or regular teenage life outside of school. Good students listen well but have fun with friends and are open to meet other pupils while studying in different groups. They do homework on time and get involved with other activities. A good class helps eachother and even other classes out when needed (like Karyn said). They try to stimulate interesting discussion when appropriate and go in depth with and without instruction from the teacher.

  31. I think a good teacher is someone who teaches his/her students well, in new and helpful ways, is a little bit funny, and gives their students the responsibility to succeed in their education. A good student is someone who participates, cares about their own education, and always gives their best effort. A good class is a class made up of good students that communicate and work with the teacher and each other well.

    ReplyDelete
  32. A good teacher need to know when to talk and when to listen. It is well established that teachers learn just as much from their students as their students learn from them. A good student needs only to have a desire to learn and a working knowlege of how to do so. A good class needs to provide a safe and encouraging environment for learning.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I think that a good teacher needs to be able to have patience with their students, and need to be understanding about how to teach and about teenagers and their lives. Students need to have a good attitude about learning, and have self-discipline and good time management. A class needs to be able to interact with each other and listen to the teacher, but when the time is right they also need to be able to have fun together.

    ReplyDelete
  34. One of the good qualities of good teachers is whether or not they have the perfect balance of strictness and of being fun. If they are too strict, no one will enjoy the class or really get involved with the material being learned. If they are too fun, no one will learn anything and the students won’t take them as seriously. Another good quality is the different ways of teaching the teacher incorporates. If the teacher uses a good blend of lecture, hands on, and letting the students doing it themselves, the students will learn better and the content covered will stick better with the student. Another good quality is that the teacher should try and understand the students he/she is teaching. When the teacher gets on somewhat of a personal level with each individual student, it lets the student learn better and lets the teacher understand how each student learns.
A good quality of a student is to always be alert. If they pay attention in class, the student will get more out of the class and get getter grades. They will also get the respect of the teacher, which is essential to being a good student. A student also needs to be prepared. They need to bring the proper supplies to class, and be ready for any circumstance. Another good quality in a good student is that they want to learn. If they want to learn, they understand the content a lot better and try a lot harder to achieve success.
A good class needs to have good chemistry and to cooperate very well. A class that gets along and that understands each other learns a lot better and makes the class more fun for everyone. A good class needs to be respectful of the teachers. If they respect the teachers, then the teachers will have more respect for that class, and that may lead to rewards. A good class gets their work done and does not procrastinate. A class that puts things off to the last minute or doesn’t get things done prohibits good learning to students who want to learn, and can’t really advance in the class.

  35. In my mind a good teacher knows how to talk to kids in the sense they use words that we understand. They also phrase questions in a way that we will understand and will be able to answer. A good teacher knows all of their student’s names if possible. They also know how to hold us accountable for our actions in a way that is not harsh but will prevent us from do wrong again. A good teacher knows how to have fun in class while maintaining a serious learning environment. A good student knows when it is the right time to speak and give opinions. Also they know how to act professionally during classes while still having fun. Good student know how to handle what I given out to them in an organized fashion. They also know how to live up to the expectations they and their teachers hold for them. A good class will know how to interact with each other. They will know how to respect opinions and ideas without putting someone down. A good class will know all of their peers’ names. A good class will always be willing to help out one another whenever help is needed.

  36. There are many aspects of teacher, students, and classes, which define them as “good”. For teachers, it would be the qualities of a sense of humor, organization, and endurance. Humor is a quality of the best teachers because students are more engaged if humor is involved in the lesson. When students are more engaged, they tend to enjoy learning more than the glazed-eyed student that is just wishing that the dry, boring, teacher would just shut up. Good students are those that are perfect at managing their time. When you time is managed more efficiently, and then it becomes much easier to study and get things done. The perfect class would consist of people that know when to joke around and when to shut up and get to work. An example of this would be Mr. Maness’s class last year at Powell. We all knew when to joke around and when to get to work. However, this training is mostly because he throws small objects at you if you keep talking.

  37. A good teacher makes class and learning fun and inspires their students to be the best students, and people, they can be. They also assign enough homework to keep their classes advancing, but not so much that all of their students are stressing about their workloads. To me, a good student is someone who enjoys learning and always gives their best effort. A good student should enjoy high school, but also look ahead to college and their future and start building up good habits. A good class is respectful to one another and helps each other learn. We are most likely to succeed if we work together and push each other to do our best.

    ReplyDelete
  38. A good teacher should make you want to learn more ans they should take time to make sure everybody understands what is being taught.

A good student should try their hardest to succeed at everything and they should always be prepared for new, possibly more difficult things.

A good class should give each other feed back. the should build off each others' ideas, rather than just using their own limited knowledge. And most importantly they should be kind their peers and build each other up.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I think these three things all have to be in a relative equality for each one to be "good". The teacher should push, yet encourage her students to learn. She should be understandable, yet hard to interpret in one way. She should try to make her students as happy as possible, but not making her students lose focus at the same time.
A good student should not only listen, learn and focus, but they should look deeper for meaning in variable activities in class. They should be positive, even though some days that is hard for any person. They should strive for the absolute best possible from them, even though activities outside of school and in school may conflict some days.
Overall, to make a good class, the teacher and student trying their personal best should work together. A class is like metal gears grinding, they need something to push them and keep going together as a unit.

  40. To me,a good teacher is somebody who is able to talk to and truely get through to his or her students. A good teacher gives all of their students the oppritunity to express their ideas and thoughts without the worry of ever being judged. They can lead an entire classroom with ease, and never make their students feel overwhelmed with so much work that they can't even comprehend it. A good student is someone who comes to class every day with an open mind that's ready to take on any challenge. They should also be able to give help to others in their class that may need it. A good student should never argue with his or her teacher about anything that they're assigned to do. A good class has the quality of always listening to what others have to say, no matter who is saying. A good class will work together and keep a steady-paced rythym every day.

  41. A good class has many features. All the people should along and work good together. They should be comfortable sharing experiences and memories for the benefit of the class as a whole. These are trait of a great class.

    ReplyDelete
  42. A good teacher doesn't talk down to students or make them feel like they do not have valid answers or questions. There has to be trust between them and they have to have a personal connection between the two of them. A good class respects one another and themself. They need to ask questions because someone is probably thinking the same thing. They also need to learn not to take certain things personally. If someone disagrees it doesn't mean it's directed toward you. A student who plans to excel has to be confident in their doings. They need to learn from their mistakes.

NOTE: i talked to you in class. you said you'd grade it even though it's late.

  44. I think a good teacher is someone who is strict, but understand. They also have to like working with kids and be funny. I think a good student is someone who listens well, but does all their work and shares their ideas. I think a good class should have all of these qualities

  45. Good teachers take the time to take their time and get every student up to speed on their work. Good students are organized and can be expected to do their assignements on time. A kood class can cooperate and not get on each others nervers.

  46. I think a good teacher has to be willing to help students. A good class has to be willing to learn and not disrupt class a lot. A good student should make contributions to class but not so many that they disrupt the learning environment in a detrimental way.

  47. I think that a good teachers shouldnt be so hard that fun doesnt exist around her. Good students need to be able to work together and be able to turn work in while working hard but having fun. 49. To be a good teacher, they must be inspiring their kids to learn. Good students should be open to the change of opinions while in the class. The mixture of a good teacher and good students creates a good class and a good class should be willing to participate in thier class everyday.

  50. Good teachers are kind, funny, and make you want to learn. They will work with you and not for you. They are cool and know what goes through your head. They know what you're like. They can crack down when they need to, but not in an intimidating way.

  51. I think that in order to be a good teacher you must be fun, creative, not lecture everyday, allow time to explain homework and to answer questions and to have a positive attitude on most days. In order to be a good student you must be respectful, listen to what others are saying and try not to criticize them. To be a good class you must listen to your teacher, don't talk when she needs you to be quiet and don't mess around too much in their class.

  52. I think the qualities of a good teacher are: a teacher who can instruct their students clearly so the students can understand the lesson. A good teacher will update the grades of their students as soon as possible. Also I think a good teacher should teach their class in creative ways to keep the students interested. A good student will be respectful to others, participate in the class on a daily bases and one that think is very important is that the students should complete all the homework assigned honestly even if the teacher does not check if they do it A good effective class should be a mix of both the teacher and the students working together to form a class that should work well with each other and help each other when needed.

  53. I believe that a good teacher is defined in many ways. Some of the following are characteristics, that in my opinion, make a good teacher. They must be encouraging, disciplined, challenging, respectful and make the students want to learn, as well as being someone relatable, that the kids would want to talk to. Good students need to be focused, determined, respectful, and try their hardest with every opportunity presented to them. In order to have a good class room, both the teacher, and students need to make an effort to be these things mentioned above. The students also need to be considerate of other people's opinions and thoughts, and not put each other down. As long as every one is trying their hardest to be, and do the best they can the class room will be a productive work environment for every one.

  54. A good teacher is known to different people in different ways. I believe that a good teacher is someone who loves there job, funny, can relate to there students, has fun while teaching, makes the class interesting. A good student needs to be able to know when they need help and are not afraid to ask for it. They also need to be hard working, respectful, collaborating. A good class would be qualified as a group of people who can work together as a whole, everyone shares their ideas, they do not talk when others are speaking, considerate of others opinions.

  55. I could not figure out how to directly post a comment under one anothers comment.

    Whitney,
I agree that a teacher should have that balance of teaching and applying the knownledge. Also that the teacher should not be lecturing the whole time. I do not totally disagree with all of you points except for that students should paricipate when called on. I think that as a student in honors we should raise our hand and try to engage in the conversation before the teacher has to ask us to participate.
    Good entry!

  56. In my opinion, I think a good teacher is always thinking about how each person has their own specific way of learning. They help that student to the best of their abilities to succeed always, and they never give up on them. Although that does not mean the student can slack off and expect the teacher to always be there to solve problems. The student needs to always be on top of there work. In class they need to participate and be respectful to others. I think what makes a great class is a class that knows how to have a lot of fun but still get tasks accomplished on time. There understand that during diccusions they will disagree but they will still treat everyone like a professional.

  57. A good teacher is someone who truly cares about their students and will do their best to prepare them for the future. A good teacher is also understanding and makes class fun. A good student is not afraid to speak up in class and does their best on every assignment. They are respectful and a good learner. A good class will have no difficulty working with and respecting one another. A good class listens when people are talking and are polite to others.

  58. A good class is one that always supports you and is eager to collaborate. They will also respect your ideas and add on to yours and help you fully elaborate. A good teacher is one that will work with students and gives precise and timely instructions. They should additionally understand different ways of learning and try to teach and help each one. An exceptional student should be one that adapts easily and is able to problem solve and cooperate.

  59. I believe that good qualities possessed by a teacher are to listen to students and there ideas but also to allow them to defend them and prove their point. Other good qualities are to be in control of the classroom but not to be restricting. Good teachers should allow a certain amount of freedom. On the other hand what students do with that freedom should be productive and help the further their knowledge in any given subject. They should be open-minded of other ideas and try to input as many of theirs' as possible. A good class is supportive of one another and challenges each other to think “outside of the box.” They should never interrupt each other or shoot down someone else's ideas. If everyone used these guidelines and applied them to school we would have a positive and efficient learning environment.

  60. Many teachers affect you in different ways because none of their styles are the same. However, many of them stand out because they obviously love what they do. I love teachers that want to help students succeed and expand our learning abilities. But I don’t like easy-going teachers because I know most students (including myself) love to be challenged and pushed to new heights. I can’t stand super strict classes though because we need some fun in our education. It's important to be productive in groups as individuals and as a class. We can help each other exceed the limits and change the world.

  61. What are the qualities of good teachers? of good students? of a good class?
Many qualities make up good teachers, classes, and students. Teachers need to know when to do what- when to speak strictly or calmly, when to intervene in a problem, when to pressure students and how much to pressure them. Teachers also need to engage the students in various ways, such as humor, clear speaking, and making sure everyone participates. Good classes mean that the proper matierials are handed out, and the enviroment is relaxing, but not distracting. Good students participate frequently and respect one anothers ideas and feelings, and they must also do their personal best at working hard for the class.

  62. A good teacher can find a way to make a student understand a confusing problem, they won’t give the answer, but they’ll help you understand how to get there. They also care for you, they want to know about your problems, and they can be serious when work needs to get done, but they also have a balance of fun, so the class isn’t boring. A good class is respectful, they listen, they don’t talk when someone else is, they get to know each other and work well together, they have a desire to learn, and they’re willing to ask questions like: “Why is that?” to learn more about the lesson. A good student is prepared, they’re on time, they need to be able to adapt to the lesson, and do their best at all times.

  63. There are many qualities that a teacher can haver to make them one of the best. Teachers need to be thoughtful of the students ond make sure they are going at the right pace for the class. Also they need to be able to connect with each person individually so that the student can learn in a way that is best for them. A good student is very well at paying attention and listens to whatever anyone has to say. They also need to be helpful to all of the other students and if they have a different opinion, they shouldn't be rude about it. A good class is able to work well together and can go through a period being able to talk when it's alright, but be focused when they need to.

  64. A good Teacher should always be respectful. Knowing ones boundries is very useful for answering and asking questions. While learning students need a teacher that knows what the students are capible of. If a student doesnt know how to spell D-O-G, then the teacher should know that and not ask that student how they spell dog. But the teacher also know that if they have a awesome speller in the class, then they should challenge that student to the extent of breaking. But not breaking them down, just challenging them. the Teacher should also be fun and laid back. Nobody likes an up tight tteacher. The average student likes a student that will laugh with them and know when they are telling a joke that isnt funny. so please save all of our students and save the not-funny jokes for the breakroom. But all teachers good or bad should always know when to focus the class when we need to get things done and out of our agenda.

  65. The qualities of a good student and a good class are almost identical. First, no honors class is bad enough to be just "good." We as a class are great. Great enought to be learning about jobs that don't even exsit yet, but we will have them. A great qualitiy is a mind set of we are unreplaceable. We can not be beat by the other hundreds of Chinese and Indian students who are great, but not as great as us. For teachers, the most inspiring qualitiy is that of making us want to learn and never give up to the same old system of the grind. We must challenge that system and with the guidance of our teachers.

  66. The qualities of a good student include; determination and responsibilty. Students should be willing to work hard and accept the fact that even if something isnt easy it is worth doing. The qualities of a good class are that they are collabrative with each other and repectful of one anothers opinions no matter what the subject. The class should also create a positive atmosphere. The qualities of a good teacher are someone who shows leadership skills and is uplifting and positive in class and glad to be there.
